Audio: Color of You

Color of You is now live at Audible! Narrated by the incredibly talented Greg Tremblay, under his Boudreaux brand, I have to admit that finally hearing Bowen and Felix has been worth the wait! Greg's delivery and timing is incredible, and his unique voice and characterization of Bowen, a character I was very wary of trusting to basically anyone but Greg, is simply perfect. That's not a word I use lightly!

If you pick up a copy, happy listening, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Blurb: Bowen Merlin - yes, that’s his real name - accepts a position in the quaint town of Lancaster, New Hampshire, as the high school band director. He leaves New York City for the snowy countryside of New England just in time for the holidays. With class, homework, after-school activities, and a surprise Christmas concert to plan and rehearse, Bowen is plenty busy. And since he’s never had much luck with romance, factoring in time to find Mr. Right isn’t a priority....

Until he meets the proprietor of Snowy Ridge Apple Orchard, Felix Hansen. Suddenly, true love seems like a possibility for the first time in Bowen’s life. The two are a perfect match and fill the skipped beats of each other’s hearts. But as wonderful as Felix seems, he’s harboring scars that could end their budding relationship when someone in town goes to great lengths to sabotage their careers.

If Bowen is to survive the holidays, he’ll need to lean on old friends and new, convince Felix he’s worth any hardship, and prove they can come out of the catastrophe stronger if they do so together.

Translation update

Exciting news on the translation front! Dreamspinner Press and DSP Publications will be doing some in-house work and putting Color of You into French and Southernmost Murder into German!

ETA for both novels is February 2019. I'm happy to say that both of these foreign editions will be made available at next year's Salon du Livre in Paris, France and the Leipzig Book Fair in Germany.

I too, will also be in attendance with the books! I'm very excited and hope to meet a lot of new readers and share in our mutual love of romance and mystery stories!

Contract: That Turtle Story

I am so pleased to announce that I have signed a contract with Dreamspinner Press for a short story featured in the 2018 Warmest Wishes Advent Calendar anthology.

That Turtle Story takes place in Key West during Christmastime. Holiday grouch, Nor Kennedy,  rehabilitates turtles for a living, and the swoon-worthy Eugene Montgomery visits Turtle R&R to report a clutch of eggs in distress.

Release of the individual title will be December 1, 2018. It will also be included in the Advent Calendar package, which delivers a surprise short story each day of the month for thirty days!

Cover reveal: Devil Take Me

Devil Take Me is live for pre-order at DSP Publications and 40% off until June 22nd. Be sure to add this anthology to your Goodreads shelf as well. Official release is October 16, 2018.

Anthology blurb: Temptation lurks around every corner in worlds sometimes dark, sometimes lurid. Giving in is both dangerous and satisfying, though never in the ways one expects. While these enticements offer a vast range of benefits and boons, the cost is a soul and the devil expects his due. Sometimes suave and charming or calculating and cruel, these devils have schemes and desires of their own. They can be creatures to run away from… or toward.

Join the most unique and celebrated authors of LGBT urban fantasy and paranormal fiction for a fast-paced and unpredictable ride, from a city on the other side of reality, to a world suspended in dusk, to a twisted version of the 1960s and 70s.

Meet devils in top hats and waistcoats, a defrocked motorcycle-riding priest, and a genderfluid antihero—among many more. Full of humor, romance, horror, action, intrigue, and magic, these stories have one common element….

They’re one hell of a good time.

11:59 by C.S. Poe blurb: Asuka Kawashima is a man without dreams. Nightmares plague humanity and cross into the waking world—chasing after their dreamers and transforming them into hideous monsters that haunt New York City at night. When Asuka is faced with the choice between dying or selling his soul to the Devil, he offers it in exchange for the chance to continue protecting people. But the Devil is sly, and while he takes Asuka’s ability to dream, making him immune to nightmares, it also removed Asuka’s abstract sense of dreaming. Now life is gray, hopeless, and without wishes.

A chance meeting five years later leads Asuka to Merrick Grace, a man who, despite the dismal world around them, still believes there will be a day when monsters cease to exist. When the Devil reappears, asking for a favor in return for his soul, Asuka must make another difficult decision...

If the chance to dream again—to share a life with Merrick, full of hope and happiness—is worth the risk of almost certain death.
